Description
Encourage creativity and artistic expression by having students research and design the “baby” version of any character from a novel, movie, TV show, etc. A certain unnamed “baby” has become very popular on television recently, which makes this activity especially high interest for your students!
Students will learn about the Kawaii style of art and how to create a “Chibi” type character in the short reading passage. Then students will research and think about the identifying characteristics and traits of their character that need to be included in their final design. Finally students will use the drawing tips to sketch and color their character. Graphic organizers make it easy for students to stay organized!
Great for sub plans or as an unplugged activity in the computer lab, too!
